Q: I feel healthy. Why should I take a health check?
A: When visible signs of disease appear, prevention is most often too late. There is, however, a considerable time period between the first occurrence of disorders in the function of the human body and the appearance of recognizable symptoms. That’s how the health check can help you prevent getting ill. We recommend it for everyone who is concerned about his or her health. Health is the most valuable gift we have. Unfortunately, we most often hear those words from those who have already lost it. If the results of the check show that you are healthy, you will feel free to enjoy your daily life even more. Our aim is, above all, the preservation of health and the avoidance of disease in the earliest stages.
Q: Is it possible to be treated by the Amsat system?
A: No, we do not use the Amsat system to treat patients, but rather to gain an insight into the state of the health of the human body.
Q: I have my own doctor. Why should I take your health check?
A: The Amsat system is not a replacement for your doctor. The display of the Amsat system shows pictures, descriptions and percentage deviations from the norm in the functioning of every individual organ in your body. It provides you with information about your health, and gives your doctor welcome assistance in faster reaching a full diagnosis, and deciding on possible courses of treatment.
Q: Who carries out the health check?
A: The examination is carried out by doctors: medical experts who are specifically experienced in working with the Amsat system, and are certified to do so by top medical experts from Russia.
Q: How detailed is the examination, and how reliable is it?
A: Scientific and clinical research confirms that the reliability of the Amsat system is 82%, which puts it on a par with the most reliable devices in medical diagnostics, such as ultrasound, electrocardiograms and x-rays.
Q: How often do you recommend I have a health check?
A: In general, the younger you are, the stronger your immune system is. With age, the immune defences of the human body become weaker, which is why there is a greater chance of chronic illness among older people, and which is why disease progresses and spreads several times faster than in younger people. If you are completely healthy, we recommend repeat health checks with the following frequency:
- Age up to 50 years: once to twice a year
- Between 50 and 60 years of age: two to three times a year
- Between 60 and 70 years of age: three to four times a year
- Over 70 years of age: four times a year
Q: What should I do after the health check?
A: The printout of the health check consists of a graphic display and written description with an analysis of the current state of the body’s function. If considerable departures from the norm in the function of individual organs or groups of organs are shown, we will make a note of it for you. We then advise you to visit your medical practitioner, with whom you can agree on the best course of action.
Q: How should I prepare for the health check?
A: During the health check, you should remove any jewellery and your wrist watch, and your shoes and socks. Do not eat, smoke, consume tea, coffee or carbonated soft drinks for at least two hours prior to the health check. On the day of the health check, take only necessary medications that have been prescribed by your doctor. More details…
Q: How much does a health check cost?
A: The health check costs only 400kn. You may be entitled to a discount - please ask us.
Q: What happens during the health check?
A: The procedure lasts only a few minutes. Six electrodes are attached to your body (two on your hands, feet and forehead). These transmit a test signal, which is absolutely harmless to your health and causes no discomfort, very much like an electrocardiogram. The health check is carried out whilst you are standing. The procedure is completely painless and is suitable for adults and children alike.
Q: Which parameters are important for testing?
A: Prior to beginning the test, the doctor puts data on your medical history, gender, age, height and body weight into the computer. After carrying out the check, the program takes into consideration all the listed parameters, creates the "information" gathered from the organs and creates the final analysis. The doctor’s experience in medical practice is also exceptionally important, as well as the fact that he or she is specially trained and certified in working with the Amsat system.
Q: Which organs can be tested?
A: All 49 organs, with no exceptions, in just one examination.
Q: Is the Amsat system a replacement for blood tests, urinalysis or blood sugar testing?
A: No, these are specialised tests. They cannot be replaced by tests using the Amsat system.
Q: Can the Amsat system diagnose osteoporosis?
A: No. The Amsat system recognises functional disorders of all 49 organs in the human organism, but specialised tests are required for osteoporosis. Please ask your doctor for more information.
Q: Can it show whether I have cancer?
A: No, the Amsat system does not diagnose illness. The system gives evidence of all changes in the organism, and gives a basis for suspecting the presence of disease. Your medical practitioner can only give a diagnosis after further, specific tests.
Q: Is the Amsat system calibrated?
A: Yes, although it is based on modern technological principles, it is like a pair of weighing scales in that it must be serviced regularly and calibrated at least once a year.
Q: Have the software programmes of the Amsat system been changed since their creation?
A: Very much so. In the beginning, there only existed a software package in Russian, but for the last five years, all legal systems and Authorised Amsat Centres in Croatia have been using a software package in Croatian language. The system is updated with new information and better analyses every year.
Q: Are there any unauthorised Amsat centres in Croatia?
A: Unfortunately, yes! It’s nothing to be surprised about – Nike, Panasonic, Rolex etc. have been plagiarised – and so too has Amsat. Ebay d.o.o. is the only company in Croatia authorized by the manufacturer for the import, calibration and service of Amsat systems, the training and certification of medical professionals, and the authorization of Amsat Centres. Only the Authorised Amsat Centres listed on this website can give you a health check licensed by the manufacturer.
Q: Does that mean that I can receive a substandard service at unauthorised centres?
A: Unfortunately, yes! In order to attract more clients, such centres offer examinations at reduced prices. Some people think “OK, I’ll get a health check where the price is lower.” It’s a trap! You can see the poor quality service at a glance. Your results will be in another language and unreadable; the analysis may be completely wrong due to equipment which has not been calibrated, untrained staff, lack of expertise (in some places the examinations are carried out not by doctors, but by nurses or people with a completely different profession), old software packages etc.… Decide for yourself whose hands you wish to place your health in. For a poor service, even a rock-bottom price is too much to pay. Additionally, an incorrect analysis may mean you are put on an incorrect course of medical treatment. We don’t even have to tell you that the whole process may cost you not only your money and time, but also your health. |
